VoiceFleet has added beta support for connecting its AI receptionist to an authorised Phorest account. The connector is designed for salons that want customers to check appointment availability and manage bookings during a natural phone conversation while keeping Phorest as the system of record.

In an end-to-end test with a connected Phorest account, VoiceFleet successfully completed booking creation, update, and cancellation workflows. The integration remains in beta while we complete additional operational testing and onboarding with selected salon customers.

This is a third-party beta integration. It does not imply an official partnership, certification, or endorsement by Phorest.

What can the VoiceFleet Phorest connector do?

When a caller asks to make an appointment, VoiceFleet can use the salon's authorised Phorest connection to identify relevant services and staff, check suitable availability, and create the booking. The caller can complete the process in the same conversation without waiting for a receptionist to return the call.

The current beta supports the core appointment workflows salons ask about most often:

  • checking available appointment times;
  • retrieving the services and staff needed to complete a booking;
  • creating a booking for an existing or newly matched client;
  • changing an existing appointment; and
  • cancelling a booking when requested.

VoiceFleet keeps the phone conversation separate from the underlying salon software. The caller speaks naturally, while the connector translates the confirmed request into the appropriate Phorest booking action.

Why this matters for salon teams

Reception teams often need to answer the phone while serving clients in person. A useful salon voice agent must do more than take a message: it needs to understand the requested service, offer a real available time, confirm the details, and write the booking back to the salon's existing system.

The Phorest beta is intended to make that workflow practical without asking the salon to replace its current booking platform. VoiceFleet handles the phone interaction, and Phorest remains the source of truth for availability and appointments.

Salons can choose the calls and booking rules the AI receptionist is allowed to handle. Requests outside those rules can be transferred or captured for a member of the team, depending on the salon's VoiceFleet configuration.

How access and setup work

Phorest's official developer documentation says API access must be requested through Phorest Support by an email address associated with the salon's business account. The request must include the salon's Phorest account number. Once Phorest approves access and issues credentials, the salon can authorise VoiceFleet to configure the connection.

VoiceFleet does not ask salon customers to share their normal Phorest login or browser session. Integration credentials should be issued for the authorised business and handled securely during onboarding.

Because Phorest does not currently provide webhooks, the beta uses direct API calls for booking actions and controlled checks where updated data is required. Payment-card processing and Phorest Pay are not part of the VoiceFleet beta.

For the underlying access requirements, see the official Phorest API getting-started guide.

Beta availability

VoiceFleet is making the connector available to selected salon customers that already use Phorest and can obtain authorised API access. Each onboarding is reviewed before activation so that services, staff, booking rules, call transfers, and fallback behaviour match the salon's operation.

The connector will remain labelled beta while VoiceFleet gathers more operational evidence across real appointment scenarios. Product changes and supported workflows will be documented as the beta develops.

Salons interested in testing the connector can book a VoiceFleet demo or review VoiceFleet pricing. Please mention Phorest when booking so the team can confirm access and onboarding requirements.

Frequently asked questions

Is VoiceFleet an official Phorest partner?

No official partnership, certification, or endorsement is being claimed. VoiceFleet has built a third-party beta connector using Phorest's documented API and a salon-authorised account. VoiceFleet intends to discuss the integration with Phorest's developer team as the beta progresses.

Can any Phorest customer connect VoiceFleet immediately?

The salon must first obtain API access from Phorest. Phorest's documentation says the request must come from an email address associated with the business and must include the Phorest account number. VoiceFleet then reviews and configures the connection for the salon.

Does the beta take payments through Phorest Pay?

No. The current beta is focused on appointment availability and booking management. Phorest's documentation states that card processing and Phorest Pay are not exposed through its API.

What happens if the AI cannot complete a request?

The salon defines the permitted booking rules and fallback behaviour during onboarding. A request that cannot be completed safely can be transferred or captured for follow-up rather than forcing an uncertain booking action.
